On Sunday, November 14, we returned to the kiln site and laid the second layer of bricks to complete the foundation. We added the foundation for the chimney and tied the bricks into the back of the kiln. In the afternoon, we began to construct the fire boxes and flue of the kiln.
The local community is very involved in the project. Many people have come to help make the kiln, learn about water and show their support. People are very excited about the idea of having filters in their homes.
